Hi, I'm Emma!

I'm a junior at Stanford studying Design, Symbolic Systems, and Mechanical Engineering.

To me, great products are built the same way good design is — by tuning into what people and systems truly need, then making intentional decisions at every level to get there. I'm drawn to the earliest stages of product development, where research, strategy, and craft intersect. I'm particularly interested in how technology can be designed to facilitate genuine human connection and enable new forms of self expression.

Outside of work I love good food, playing volleyball, and painting. My favorite places to be are Kyoto, Japan, at home playing card games with my family, or anywhere at sunset.
